Show Notes
In this special episode we depart from our schedule to cover the Constitutional issues surrounding the contested Presidential election of 2020. We discuss the ultimate authority for determining the results of the election as well as a alternate, yet completely Constitutional hypothetical process for appointing electors.
Additional references from the episode can be found below:
- U.S. Constitution. Article II, Section 1, Clause 2: “Each state shall appoint, in such manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a number of electors, equal to the whole number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress…”
Great explanation about the Electoral College — something so important re: our Constitution, but so easily misunderstood. Jason, you are the Man!
I’ll sleep better tonight as ‘hope springs eternal.’
Thanks again, Suzanne! Your feedback is very much appreciated!
